Trudon scented candle Reggio

A hint of citrus from Calabria

The mandarin tree returned from Indochina in 1828 and has flourished on the western shores of the Mediterranean ever since. Facing the Strait of Messina, it sculpts the Calabrian landscape without a touch of bitterness. The softness of the mandarin harks back to antiquity when its essential oils composed an elegant, fragrant language.

Claude Trudon began making his candles in 1643.

Beeswax is used to make the candles. The wax is harvested from the hive, filtered, washed and exposed to sunlight. This is how the candles get their pure white color.

The motto “Deo regique laborant” means “They work for God and the King”.

Each candle is still filled by hand in Normandy France.
The wax formula is developed over years of accumulated knowledge.

No smoke leaves a Trudon candle and no wax remains on the inside of the glass.
Each glass is unique and handmade in France and inspired by the champagne bottle.
